Well, ive been looking at bikes for a few weeks now and was going to get a Honda Rebel 450 and had one to buy for $1,400, but it needed at least 300 bucks worth of work. But thank heavens, I got a call from a guy with a Suzuki Savage that I had seen weeks earlier call me the night before i was to go get this rebel. So I go look at it, its in great shape for being 15 years old and it runs great (from what I can tell, i am new to bikes) and we start talkign price, i get it for $850 ! ! ! ! ! almost half what i was going to spend for a smaller bike.
Anyway, I read half of all the posts on thsi forum while at work before going to the see the thing and it helped me deciding to get it, and I will be back for more, and I will post pics of the bike, and ask advice.
Well, down to the meat of the post, does anyone have any advice for a new rider starting out on a Savage?
Also, it came with the Drag style handle bars, which arent bad but i think I prefer the regular style better (wish bone??) is it hard/expensive to ge that switched?
